I have a Word document consisting mainly of complex tables that was
originally created in Word '97. Upon opening in Word 2003 and saving the
doc, the size of the document tripled! In addition, I am no longer able copy
cells into new rows/cells in the tables. I get the message "There are too
many edits in the document. This operation will be incomplete. Save your
work.". The posts that I've seen regarding this error refer to space on the
drive which houses your TEMP folder - I have >33GB free on that drive.
This appears to be related to Word 2003 as a user in Word '97 is able open
the same doc and copy cells until his heart is content. Another user in Word
2003 opened the doc and had the same problems I've had.
Any help/suggestions/advice will be GREATLY appreciated....I can't work
without this doc!

I thought that this problem might be because of a corrupt table (since there
are so many in this doc) so I saved the file as a .htm and then back to a
.doc and it helped a bit - but I'm still occasionally getting this message.
Any ideas to totally fix this problem will be greatly appreciated!!
